PART-TIME BENEFITS

Coverage goes into effect after 30 days of continuous part-time service following the first day of the month after date of hire.

401(K) Retirement

Tanger's 401(k) Savings Plan is available to all employees who are at least 21 years of age and have completed 90 days of continuous service. Within this plan, pre-tax traditional contributions and Roth 401(k) contributions can be made. There are two enrollment periods a year for newly eligible employees: January 1st and July 1st. The plan accepts rollover contributions at any time. Eligible employees receive enrollment information approximately 30 days prior to the enrollment date. Tanger matches dollar for dollar on the funds contributed by the employee up to a 3% deferral, and $.50 for every dollar contributed on the next 2% deferred. Employees are immediately 100% vested in the employer match.

OTHER BENEFITS

PAID HOLIDAYS

Tanger observes nine paid holidays each year: New Year’s Day; Good Friday; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; the day after Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Eve; and Christmas Day. Our centers remain open to support our tenants during major shopping days. Part-time employees working during a company observed holiday, are paid time and a half for hours worked that day.

Employees working any of the following holidays, will be paid time and a half for all hours worked that day: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Voluntary Accident Insurance

This benefit corresponds with treatment for off-the-job accidental injuries including hospitalization, emergency treatment, intensive care, fractures, etc. Coverage also includes wellness visits up to two (2) visits each year (four (4) visits if dependents are covered.)

Voluntary Cancer Insurance

In the event of a cancer diagnosis, this benefit helps cover the cost of specific disease treament.

MEDICAL INSURANCE

Tanger offers two major medical plans for employees and family members. Tanger’s comprehensive medical plans include coverage for hospitalization, emergency care, preventative care, prescription drugs, and more.

DENTAL INSURANCE

Tanger provides employees with the opportunity to participate in Tanger’s group dental plan. Preventative care is covered at 100%. The plan pays a percentage of basic, major and orthodontic procedures up to plan limits.

FLEXIBLE SPENDING

Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

Tanger offers employees the opportunity to participate in the Health Care FSA. Employees can defer $500 - $2,550 a year on a pre-tax basis to pay for health care expenses not covered under group medical and/or dental insurance plans. Employees not participating in Tanger's group medical and/or dental benefit are still eligible to participate in the Health Care FSA program.

Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

Tanger offers employees the opportunity to participate in the Dependent Care FSA. Employees electing Dependent Care FSA can defer up to $5,000 a year on a pre-tax basis for dependent care expenses.

Health Savings Account (HSA)

This benefit is available to employees enrolled in Tanger's High Deductible HSA plan.

A HSA account is a tax-advantaged medical savings account that allows employees to use funds for incurred medical expenses. All unused funds roll over to the next plan year.

VISION COVERAGE

Vision care services are offered as a voluntary benefit. This benefit features discounts on eyeware, non-prescription sunglasses, laser vision correction and more. Dependent coverage is also available at group rates. You do not have to be enrolled in the medical plan to be eligible for this vision benefit.

PAID TIME OFF

We recognize the importance of ensuring our employees maintain a healthy work/life balance. PTO begins accruing on the date of hire. Employees are eligible to accrue approximately 4.62 hours of PTO each pay cycle during the first five years of regular full-time employment. As years of service increase from 5-20 years, more days are accrued up to a maximum of 35 days.

Paid Holidays

We recognize that there are many calendar days denoting other significant events with special meaning to our employees that are not included on this list. Recognizing that every occasion cannot be corporately observed, we allow each regular full-time employee to have one additional paid day off work each year to be used on a day of their choosing.
